  • Conference between ITMCFM experts, ROSFINMONITORING and Malagasy stakeholders

    The agenda was focused on the training of the Working Group for the development of the manual on the characteristics of the national AML/CFT system of the Republic of Madagascar. This event was initiated by SAMIFIN to strengthen international collaboration and efforts to combat money laundering and terrorist financing. This was a key step in strengthening SAMIFIN's research and training center, contributing to strengthening the fight against these threats in Madagascar.

  • Cooperation with OMNIS

    Ambohijanaka, 19 March 2025. To consolidate the vision "Choose Madagascar" and securing the investing in Madagascar focus on extractive resources, SAMIFIN is working closely with OMNIS (Office of National Mines and Strategic Industries).

    "Madagascar is fully member of EITI and this cooperation will help OMNIS to run due diligence on its actual and future partners,  and also to know the effective ownership of the contracting companies", said Mrs RASOLONIRINA Andry Nantenaina, General Director of OMNIS.

  • 43 student police officers certified on AML/CFT at SAMIFIN

    43 gendarme participated in a specialized training course on Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT), organized by SAMIFIN.

    This training session covered key topics such as interagency collaboration, financial investigation, and parallel investigations.

    Specific modules such as environmental crime investigations and illicit asset recovery techniques were also included, delivered by TRAFFIC and ARAI.

    SAMIFIN - FIU Madagascar participated in a workshop on the implementation of the FIU Madagascar The 2019 International Conference on the Protection of the Rights of the Child, which was held in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania on March 3-7 2025. This event is crucial for Madagascar in preventing ML/FT/FP as well as in protecting the country's economy against financial criminals.
