Courtesy visit and strategic discussions with General Secretariat of Presidency

Beyond the technical assessments, the Russian delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the General Secretariat of the Presidency (SGP). During this meeting, discussions focused on the strength of the AML/CFT system in Madagascar, the aspects to be improved, as well as the coordination of efforts to strengthen the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism. These discussions made it possible to lay the foundations for future collaborations and to study strategies to better structure the coordination of actions in the area of financial security.

The assessment carried out by ROSFIN, in collaboration with the Malagasy authorities, is an important step towards the continuous improvement of the AML/CFT system in Madagascar. It will help to better understand the progress made and identify areas requiring improvement before the mutual evaluation in 2026. Cooperation with international partners such as Russia is essential to strengthen the country's financial security and its integration into the global system for combating money laundering and terrorist financing.
