EU AML/CFT Global Facility : Training on Beneficial Ownership

Starting today, the EU Global Facility is launching its very first technical assistance activity in Madagascar, focused on the topic of Beneficial Ownership. Following a productive scoping mission conducted back in December, we are now joining hands with the SAMIFIN delivering a scoping visit and training on the implementation of Madagascar's Beneficial Ownership (BO) framework.

During this four-day working visit, our team of experts will deliver sessions aimed at:

- Assessing the state of play of reforms, ongoing initiatives, and the key stakeholders involved in BO in the country.

- Identifying the specific needs in this critical area.

Facilitating peer-to-peer exchanges on the implementation of a Beneficial Ownership Registry (BOR).

Defining the next steps and pinpoint areas where the EU Global Facility will provide support throughout the coming year.

Collaborating with us on this mission are experts from Belgium and Luxembourg, who will share their experience in the implementation of a BO, promoting responsible and accountable business practices.
